Amber, I understand exactly how you feel. Life is like a roller coaster in a sense, it has its twists and turns, things happen which are expected and unexpected. Life in itself is an absolute mystery, and no one can explain why and how things happen. You are right in letting things go, but it is indeed very difficult, at times extremely frustrating. It may seem impossible at times, but you will find the strength to move on.

I can relate, as my ex-girlfriend left me a few years ago without an explanation. That greatly hurt me and caused me intense heartache, but I eventually got over her and found the strength to move on. Life has also dealt me some cruel blows in that I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree and simply cannot find work. I am no longer facing the immediate prospect of becoming homeless, but it is still dangling over my head. I have also been unable to find a new girlfriend since. I will not give up, I will keep the faith, and you should never give up on life either. Keep the hope alive.

I do not see why you see yourself as unattractive. You are a gorgeous and very sexy lady. The problem is many people view beauty as a superficial thing and fail to appreciate its true value. It is indeed in the eye of the beholder, and absolute beauty will never be obtained. Many people also fail to see the beauty of the mind. You have proven to be a highly intelligent lady who knows what she is doing and how to do it right. Those people who resort to plastic surgery are fight a losing battle; time will always win out, regardless of what people may try to do.

Life may be tough, but you will eventually figure it out. You are correct that you are no longer a little girl, but have grown into a beautiful young woman. It is best to always expect the unexpected. Anything and everything can happen in this life. Do not worry about love as it can and will strike again at any time. As you said, "do not sweat the small stuff". Life is an adventure as each day brings something new. There are times when everything seems lost and you have no idea where to turn. Turn to your friends and loved ones. They will help you cope with whatever life may swing your way. Life will always teach you the same key points, life is not fair, live and learn, expect the unexpected, and finally do not sweat the small stuff. Life is too short to let trivial things bother you. Remember, problems are temporary and will fade given time. This best thing to do is put your best foot forward and step into the unknown and brave whatever may come. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith alive and know that it will somehow work out in the end. Never give up, keep trying, and somehow, some way, you will find success!

In case you're interested, I really enjoyed the book Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus. It's a bit like reading a text book (dry), but it has some really great life and relationship tips. And it doesn't push God. Mostly it pushes for open and non-blaming communication between people.
